Russell Urwin, Principal Consultant, Turner & Townsend
Russell is a Principal Consultant of Turner and Townsend with over 30 years’ experience within the construction industry; 15 years as a senior leader within the Housing sector. A charted fellow of CABE specialising in housing asset management, estates strategy and retrofit sustainability, he works with clients to develop their strategy and organisational approach to decarbonisation at portfolio and project level, as well as establishing net zero capability within supply chains.
Russell has played a major role in the delivery of the Retrofit Accelerator – Homes acting as a Retrofit Delivery Manager since Jan 2020 supporting grant recipients in day to day project management and contract management, and was a critical part of the team developing the Retrofit Accelerator – Homes Innovation Partnership which created a new specialist supply chain to deliver a complex whole house retrofit product – Energiesprong.
