Sophie Beagles, Principal Regeneration Officer, Ealing Council and Learning Facilitator, Public Practice

Sophie is a Principal Regeneration Officer at Ealing Council and was previously a Planning and Design Advisor at the Greater London Authority. She has led multiple strategic regeneration, development and placeshaping projects, with a focus on community engagement.

She is an alumni and Learning Facilitator at Public Practice, a social enterprise offering placements in local authorities to built environment professionals and building the capacity for design thinking in local government.

Sophie is a Trustee at Foundation for Future London, an independent charity established in 2015 to connect local communities with the new East Bank and ensure there is equitable opportunities and fair regeneration in East London.

She has worked at a number of award-winning architecture practices and was an Architecture Ambassador for the Royal Institute of British Architects and Mentor Design Professional at Open City. She is also a visiting architecture critic at The University of Bath.
