Sarwjit Sambhi, Chief Executive, St Modwen

Sarwjit is the Chief Executive Officer of St Modwen, a Blackstone portfolio company, acquired in August 2021, with logistics and housebuilding businesses in the UK. Prior to joining St. Modwen, Sarwjit was the Chief Executive Officer of the consumer division and a member of the board at, the listed energy company, Centrica plc. In this role he was responsible for a portfolio of retail energy and services businesses in the UK, Ireland and North America, most significantly British Gas and Direct Energy. Other roles during his time at Centrica included building an offshore wind business and leading the oil & gas business with operations in UK, Norway and Canada. Prior to Centrica, Sarwjit was at the technology and management consultancy, Booz Allen & Hamilton. Sarwjit received a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree from the University of Cambridge. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Energy Institute and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
