Sam Draper, Chief Executive, Seratech
Sam is the CEO and co-founder of Seratech, a spin-out from Imperial College London. The company produces a carbon negative cement replacement materials and a range of other low- and zero-carbon construction products.
He studied for a MEng in Civil Engineering at the University of Cambridge and a PhD in sustainable cement technology at Imperial College London in which he gained a deep understanding of the chemistry of cementitious materials.
Since the foundation of Seratech in 2021, Sam has won numerous grants to fund the development of the technology, resulting in the first exhibition of Seratech’s carbon neutral concrete at the 2022 London Design Festival. The company won the 2022 OBEL AWARD, an international prize for architecture that honours recent and outstanding architectural contributions to human development all over the world.
