I have worked within construction for over 30 years, developing a specific interest in technical standards and passive fire protection, resulting in taking the IFE level 3 in Passive Fire protection and being actively involved in BSI/ CEN committees for fire, roofing and workmanship. Also an active member of the Industry Response Group, including significantly contributing to the CCPI and Technical Competency White Paper.  

As BMI UK Director of Systems Development and Compliance and active membership of CPA, GRO, IoR, LRWA and SPRA I apply my skills and experience to flat roofing applications and support the wider industry. I strongly believe that standards and regulations are key to raise the quality bar and there must be a level playing field for all technologies, standards and regulations should be technology agnostic simply ensuring that end users get the highest possible quality of installed solution meeting all safety needs at all stages.
