Martin Tabor, Director of Landscape Architecture, LUC
Martin Tabor is a landscape architect and director of LUC based in Glasgow. He has over 40 years’ experience in consultancy which has encompassed urban regeneration, public realm design, green infrastructure, institutional and historic landscapes. He has led a broad range of projects working from strategic level frameworks, and masterplans to detailed design and construction. He regularly leads multidisciplinary teams and has been responsible for numerous award-winning projects in both urban and rural contexts.
Martin is an approved ‘Building with Nature’ assessor having recently led the Malls Mire Green Infrastructure project in Glasgow, and who is leading LUC’s work on the £20m University of Glasgow Western Campus public realm project. Over the last 20 years, he has also led LUC’s work on historic landscapes in Scotland and the north of England, regenerating many designed landscapes and urban parks. This work is complemented by designs for new parks and greenspaces , active travel projects and visitor infrastructure projects in sensitive landscapes.
He is passionate about design and the positive role that well-conceived public spaces can provide in achieving multiple environmental and social benefits.
