Marshall Blecher, Founding Partner, MAST
Marshall Blecher is an award winning Australian architect based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Marshall is the co-founder and director of MAST a maritime architecture studio based in Copenhagen. Marshall also runs Studio Marshall Blecher which is focussed on creating unique and well crafted houses. Marshall has travelled the world researching floating architecture and its potential to improve the sustainability and quality of coastal cities. He has designed award winning floating houses, piers, islands and waterside developments across europe as well as a series of unique houses across Scandinavia and Australia. Marshall holds a Masters degree in Architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Arts, School of Architecture, Design and Conservation. He is the recipient of the prestigious Hezlet Bequest, The Byera Hadley travelling scholarship and the Mirvac Award. Marshall was the winner of the 2018 and the 2022 Taipei International Design Prize in the social design and public space design categories, his work has also been shortlisted for the Beazley design Award, the Danish Design Prize and the 2022 Dezeen Award.
