Kelly has been Head of Research at ACE Research since January 2017. She is responsible for management and direction of the independently-funded five-person research team and has a deep understanding of the role of research in underpinning advocacy work.
Kelly has over 19 years’ experience of working in the field of energy policy, with particular passion for improving energy standards in the private rented sector. She specialises in retrofit and heat decarbonisation supply chains and skills research and public sector heat decarbonisation.
Previously Kelly worked at British Gas, developing and maintaining relationships with regional and local government and social housing providers, as well as construction, insulation and facilities management companies, to promote and deliver both domestic and non-domestic energy saving schemes. Kelly has also worked for National Energy Action and Impetus Consulting Ltd.
Kelly has a BSc in Biology of Plants and Animals and an MSc in Clean Technology from Newcastle upon Tyne University.
