Isabel Allen, Editor, Architecture Today
Isabel Allen is the editor of Architecture Today and Editorial Director of BEAM (Built Environment and Architecture Media) and has won numerous awards for editing and journalism. She co-founded HAB Housing with the broadcaster Kevin McCloud, working with the UK’s best architects to build outstanding residential schemes. She has also been Head of Communications for Design for London, editor of the Architects’ Journal, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Citizen magazine, and the curator and co-curator of various national and international exhibitions on architecture, urbanism and the public realm including the London pavilions at Shanghai Expo 2010 and the 2019 Seoul Biennale. She has extensive experience as a judge for high level awards including four years on Stirling Prize jury and six years as a member of the National Panel for the Civic Trust Awards. Isabel is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Honorary Fellow of the RIBA.
