Isabelle Carter, Stride Treglown

Isabelle Carter, Head of Landscape Architecture, Stride Treglown

Isabelle is Regional Director for the Bath studio and Head of Landscape Architecture for Stride Treglown. She has over 20 years’ experience and has developed her project expertise on a range of diverse schemes throughout the sectors with emphasis on green infrastructure strategic planning and collaborative multi-disciplinary projects within the Place Studio.

As a Building with Nature Approved Assessor, Isabelle brings the principles of good design for wellbeing, water and wildlife to her project work and helps clients reach their biodiversity targets. She recently led the New Fosseway project in Bristol, which achieved Design Award in 2022 and has been included as part of the BwN training programme. Isabelle is leading on Stride Treglown projects including landscape design of the £200m UWE Low Carbon Residences project in Bristol which is currently under construction.

Isabelle’s strengths lie in conceptual design and landscape strategy where she can combine her interest and enthusiasm for protecting and celebrating the natural environment with the needs and aims for the success of a project. This is demonstrated in her work on strategic landscape design and through embedding green infrastructure landscape principles from the outset of a scheme.
