Dr Robert Grabowski is a scientist who applies an integrated process-based perspective to key challenges in environmental water management, working at the interface of ecology, water quality, hydrology, and geomorphology. Current and recent projects include studies on integrated management of land and water resources for sustainable development (NERC), fragmented ecosystems in urban environments (NERC), ecological improvement from sustainability reductions for groundwater abstraction (industry-sponsored), fine sediment transport in river systems (EPSRC & industry-sponsored), and environmental controls on the ecological impacts of point source pollution (industry-sponsored). This research informs the design of nature-based solutions for integrated water management and ecosystem restoration.
