Debbie Haynes, Carbon Reduction & Sustainability Manager, OX Place (Oxford City Council)
Debbie is Carbon Reduction & Sustainability Manager at OX Place, Oxford City Council’s development company. She is currently working with their new developments, advising and directing on energy efficiency, renewables, building performance and a range of carbon related issues. She was recently involved in the Solar Savers project, part of Project LEO’s work to trial a tariff using solar PV generated electricity in the Rose Hill area of Oxford. Debbie has a strong background in domestic buildings and reducing fuel poverty, both in a retrofit capacity and with new homes. She is a passionate advocate of homes that work well for users and keep carbon emissions and energy bills down (and is prepared to put in the required work to achieve this!) Other technical interests include overheating, ventilation and helping residents to use new technologies
