The expansion of innovation districts across the UK in the past two years has significantly contributed to increased economic growth, putting in evidence the importance of R&Ds in creating businesses and driving innovation across multiple sectors. New London Architecture’s recently published report presents a current overview of established and emerging innovation clusters that are considering the role of design and placemaking to create places that are inclusive and integrated into their neighbourhoods. This session will discuss the sector’s growth and the challenge of designing inclusive places.
