The Dura-i is part of the Duracell Energy home ecosystem and converts DC power generated by solar panels to AC for useable energy in the home. The hybrid inverter has a wide voltage range (70-540V), meaning it can start producing electricity at lower voltage levels compared to many other inverters. This means it begins converting energy earlier in the day and continues later, maximising energy production and making the most of solar panels.
Capable of handling up to 9KWp of solar power, the Dura-i is hybrid ready meaning users also have the option to add a storage battery to the home system at the time of install or at a future date.
Adding a Dura5 battery allows users to store the generated solar power ready for use later in the evening when the panels aren’t generating any power or via the grid at off peak times, saving money on their bills. The inverter is then controlled by the Duracell Energy App to monitor and manage the entire home energy system including scheduling charge times during low-cost periods as well as communicating with an EV charger.
Users’ smart tariffs can also be integrated meaning they are buying at the most cost-effective times and can reduce their energy bills by up to 85%.
