Sunamp’s Thermino range of thermal batteries came out top in a quick-fire ‘Dragon’s Den’ style pitch session featuring five other innovative, sustainable technologies shortlisted from over 90 applicants.

The award added the finishing touch to a busy three-day exhibition with Sunamp’s stand recorded as one of the most visited at the show.

Commenting on Sunamp’s win, competition judge Dr Oliver Jones from Ryder Architecture said:
“We’ve had an opportunity here in the Big Innovation Pitch to showcase a breadth of innovation ranging from heating batteries for the home that are going to totally revolutionise energy and retrofit, all the way through to green infrastructure, insulation and other areas that we all grappling with as an industry.”

Specification sales manager Toby Morris, who represented Sunamp on stage, said:
“To win such a prestigious award in the face of fierce competition is great recognition of the relevance of our space saving technology in today’s race to net zero. Thermino delivers hot water in a different way, and is widely available now. We have had huge interest in our fourth generation product at the show, and to be crowned winners is the icing on the cake.”
