As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying suitable leads and opportunities for the company to pursue as well as Identifying opportunities with existing customers and work to secure additional opportunities. It will also be the responsibility of the Business Development Manager to establish an excellent knowledge of the companies’ key markets and competitors. You will price tenders accurately in accordance with the company’s strategy and policy as well as prepare written submissions accompanying tenders professionally and to timescale.
We are looking for someone who has proven ability in Business Development as well as excellent written and verbal communication and someone with strong commercial acumen. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships. Organisation and planning are essential to be successful in this position. You will be committed to delivering their individual and company strategy and targets and can work on your own initiative to a high level of accuracy and meet deadlines.
You will have the ability to generate, develop and present ideas and suggestions for improvements to achieve more effective working practices. Strong interior plant knowledge or a background in horticulture is essential for this position.
