The Postgraduate Technical Engineering Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and engineering solutions with a special focus on the design and delivery of district heating networks. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues related to district heating systems, collaborating with engineering teams to enhance product design for these networks, and improving customer satisfaction through effective technical assistance. The position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. Additionally, the role includes mandatory training visits to Denmark and Austria and comes with a company-provided car for professional use. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest and possibly experience in renewable energy systems, thermal engineering, or related fields, with a commitment to advancing energy efficiency and sustainability solutions.

– Due to the detailed requirements of the role and its responsibilities, some degree of flexibility about work location, i.e. working from home, will be given.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
– Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, including diagnosing and resolving hardware.
– Analyse technical problems and devise solutions or workarounds.
– Document and track customer issues and resolutions in the support database.
2. Product Improvement and Feedback:
– Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
– Participate in the testing and evaluation of new products and services.
3. Documentation and Training:
– Develop and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and guides for both internal and external use.
– Conduct technical training sessions for staff and customers on product features and troubleshooting techniques.4. Collaboration and Communication:
– Work closely with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer satisfaction.
– Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical details into understandable terms.
5. Continuous Learning:
– Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
