Ben Heath, Principal, Grimshaw Architects
Ben has been Head of Grimshaw’s Design Technology department since 1997. He has an impressive record of delivering award-winning projects in various sectors, such as culture, transport, commercial, retail, education, sports, hospitality and master planning, both in the UK and abroad. His notable works include Bijlmer ArenA Station in Amsterdam, The Bath Schools of Design, Zurich Airport, Lloyds TSB London Headquarters, and the regeneration of New Covent Garden, which incorporated over one million square feet of housing. His work on high-profile and complex building and master plan projects has involved a broad range of stakeholders, often with conflicting demands and aspirations. Following the completion of Grimshaw’s master plan proposals for Wimbledon Law Tennis Association, Ben led the No. 1 court redevelopment project, the design for which completed in 2019.
