Olatz Pombo, Sustainability Consultant, Arup
Olatz has extensive experience in sustainability certification consulting based on internationally recognized methodologies, health and wellbeing, climate change mitigation and adaptation, decarbonisation strategies, embodied carbon, and ESG.
Olatz is a Sustainability Consultant at Arup Spain and is part of Arup’s Global Human Health and Wellbeing (HH&W) Working Group. The aim of this team is to improve HH&W outcomes on every Arup project in order to improve the health of people in tandem with the health of the planet.
Olatz’ experience also focuses on international projects developing the sustainability strategy in the built environment, from the early stages of passive design. Moreover, she has carried out more than 20 LEED, BREEAM, WELL, WELL H-S and TRUE Zero Waste projects. She is also managing ESG projects, developing ESG strategies for Real Estate and ESG DD, including EU Taxonomy compliance.
Besides this, Olatz is lecturer at the Technical University of Madrid in the MSc in Environmental Studies and Bioclimatic Architecture (MAYAB) since 2015. She has been lecturer in several national and international Universities. With more than 12 publications, she is reviewer of internationally recognized scientific journals, in the field of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, such as Energy and Buildings.
She is BREEAM Assessor and WELL AP.
