Dedicated to socially inclusive eco engagement and education programmes that range from free online digital literacy education for sustainability engagement (An Activist’s Digital Toolkit), to a green fashion project (Project Alteration: Ultimate Home Couture), and including systematic local housing strategy lobbying and education (Ecohousing), the company’s flagship programme is a universally accessible, multiple point of entry, comprehensive environmental education programme, ‘Green Education Counts’.
Groundswell Ecosystems proposed, created and trialed ‘Green Education Counts’ at a south London Further Education College in the first half of 2022, working across 5 cohorts in 2 learning contexts, delivering the course to groups ranging from young people studying ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’, Adults via online learning, and Disabled students of wide age range via in class Workbook based teaching, and an ‘online digital teaching’ forum.
Currently, ‘Green Education Counts’ is in development for full digital platform accessibility, including options for poverty prevention peer teaching development for course graduates, linking, at a grassroots level, sustainability and affordability. “
