The first phase of introduction of the Future Homes Standard (FHS) into the building regulations in England has been mandatory since June 2022 and represents the largest step change in new build housing standards for a generation. These new standards along with further changes planned in 2025, are part of ensuring that new homes are ready for zero carbon and are resilient and healthy homes given expected changes to our climate.
The panel chaired by Dr Gavin Dunn, CABE Chief Executive and Chair of the Future Home Standard Working Group, will provide you with a unique insight into the FHS. Gavin will be joined by Oliver Novakovik, Technical and Innovation Director at Barrett Developments who will share his experience of delivering new homes to meet the FHS, and Stuart Fairlie, Managing Director at Elmhurst Energy who will explain how new systems will be used to measure compliance.
