At Warmworks we prioritise end-user satisfaction, so finding a measure such as the Airex Floorvent that would cause minimal disruption to residents was a big win for our team.
In October 2023, before the launch of phase two of the Warmer Homes Scotland Scheme, we partnered with AirEx to introduce the Floorvent system as one of the measures offered under the scheme. This system provides a low-cost and minimally disruptive underfloor ventilation solution that smartly adjusts airflow to prevent heat loss.
As of November 2024, we have installed the Floorvent system in over 2,400 households, resulting in annual savings of more than £600,000 across Scotland, according to a recent case study.
AirEx, like Warmworks, was created to help households suffering from fuel poverty by introducing innovative smart air brick technology to improve air quality and minimise heat loss. AirEx can cut heat loss, improve energy efficiency ratings, and boost a household’s EPC (energy performance certificate) rating by 2-5 SAP points (Standard Assessment Procedure), helping families achieve noticeable energy savings.
